A Public Proclamation of Holy Matrimony Two Heritages, One Covenant: The Union of Elaska and Ayoola U.S. Machika The forthcoming union of Miss Jemimah Silaelaska Chinoko and Mr Ayoola Abolade beautifully reflects that enduring ideal. In their coming together, the ancient heritage of the Zuru Kingdom enters into covenant with the timeless civilisation of the Yoruba people, affirming once again that the strongest foundations of nationhood are often laid, not in the halls of power, but within the homes and families that choose love, faith and mutual respect above every difference. Though separated by geography, language and certain customs, both heritages are united by values that have sustained their peoples for generations: reverence for family, dignity of labour, respect for elders, hospitality, integrity and an abiding faith in God. It is therefore with profound gratitude to Almighty God that the families of Major General Timothy Anlaini Chinoko (Rtd) and Mrs Maimuna Joy Chinoko, together with Engineer Semiu Abolade and Mrs Titilope Abolade, joyfully announce the forthcoming Holy Matrimony of their beloved children, Elaska and Ayoola.

Poised to Walk Down the Aisle to Enter a Lifelong Covenant of Love, Faith and Purpose

A Public Proclamation of Holy Matrimony

Marriage is among humanity's oldest and most enduring institutions. It has survived the rise and fall of kingdoms, the passing of generations and the changing tides of civilisation, because it is founded upon values that never grow old—faith, commitment, sacrifice, mutual respect and love. Every wedding therefore marks more than the union of two individuals; it is the coming together of families, the continuation of cherished traditions and the beginning of a new legacy that will endure across generations.

Heaven bears joyful witness to a covenant older than civilisation itself—the union of a man and a woman, joined not merely by affection, but by faith, purpose and divine providence.

In a country as richly diverse as Nigeria, every marriage that bridges cultures quietly reminds us that our differences are not barriers to unity but opportunities for mutual enrichment. Diversity finds its highest expression not in speeches or declarations, but in the willingness of people to embrace one another with sincerity, understanding and goodwill. In this way, marriage becomes one of the noblest expressions of national unity.

From the hills of Zuru to the ancient towns of Yorubaland, there will no doubt be friendly conversations about whose cuisine deserves the greater applause. Fortunately, marriage has a delightful way of settling such debates—not by choosing one tradition over another, but by making room for both at the same table.

The forthcoming union of Miss Jemimah Silaelaska Chinoko and Mr Ayoola Abolade beautifully reflects that enduring ideal. Two Heritages. One Covenant. A Lifetime Begins.

The marriage celebrations shall commence with the Traditional Wedding Ceremony on Thursday, 13 August 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Abuja, and shall culminate in the Holy Solemnisation of Marriage on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at 12:00 noon, at the Foursquare Gospel Church, Plot 1902 Yakubu Gowon Crescent, near AYA, Asokoro, Abuja.

This announcement is respectfully extended to relatives, friends, associates and well-wishers, both at home and across the world. Whether present to witness the celebrations in person or united in spirit from afar, your prayers, goodwill and heartfelt blessings will become part of a treasured memory that the couple, their families and generations yet unborn will forever cherish.

As Elaska and Ayoola prepare to exchange their sacred vows before God, family and friends, may the Almighty bless their covenant with enduring love, unwavering faith, wisdom in every decision and peace in every season of life. May their home be a sanctuary of understanding, their table a place of abundance, their hearts steadfast in devotion to one another, and their generations become worthy custodians of the values they inherit today.

For the Chinoko and Abolade families, this joyful occasion is more than the celebration of a wedding; it is the welcoming of a son, the embracing of a daughter and the beginning of a shared family story that will be written across generations.

May this covenant enrich not only two lives, but also the enduring kinship between two great heritages, reminding us all that while geography may separate peoples, shared values unite them, and where love is guided by faith, every covenant becomes a bridge between generations.

ELASKA & AYOOLA

May the God who ordained marriage from the beginning establish your home upon the unshakable foundations of faith, love, wisdom and peace.

May your companionship flourish in mutual respect; your joy remain abundant; your table never lack provision; your hearts never lack understanding; and your generations become living testimonies of honour, integrity and divine favour.

May every season of your marriage reveal new reasons for gratitude, every challenge become an opportunity for greater unity, and every dream entrusted to your hearts find fulfilment under the guidance and mercy of Almighty God.

May your union radiate hope, inspire families, strengthen communities and glorify the One in whose presence all enduring covenants are perfected.

May your journey together be long, purposeful, fruitful and richly blessed—today, tomorrow and for all the years to come. Amen.
