While acknowledging that no government is perfect, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume has reaffirmed the Tinubu administration's commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

“This government will not disappoint Nigerians. The President means well but we can go wrong. When we go wrong, correct us,” the SGF told a delegation of the North Central People’s Forum, NCPF, led by Sardauna Plateau, Senator Jeremiah Useni in his office, yesterday.

In a statement released by his media office, Senator Akume outlined the bold actions that President Tinubu has already made. He said that these actions had a good influence on the national economy and shown to local and foreign policymakers that the administration is serious about doing business.

The SGF urged Nigerians to endure the hardships associated with the elimination of the gasoline subsidy and its adverse effects on cost of living, pledging that these hardships would be followed by a major increase in living conditions in general.

Akume took pleasure in the illustrious backgrounds of the delegation's members, the majority of whom had held important posts at the national and state levels. Even as he asked for their essential advice and prayed for them, he stated, "I'm very proud to be associated with you all from the home base."

The members came to congratulate the SGF on his appointment and wish him a fruitful term, according to Engr Sani Ndanusa, chairman of the National Executive Committee of the NCDF.

As the highest political office holder from North Central zone, Ndanusa urged Akume to “take absolute political control of the zone by having quarterly meetings with the North Central Governors Forum, NCPF leadership and with other critical political office holders to discuss developmental strides of the zone.”

He urged him to recruit important appointments to the North Central zone, which should include competent members of the NCPF, and referred to the OSGF as the actual heart of the government.

In order to take advantage of the prospects in the zone, including its land mass, water resources, and mineral reserves, Ndanusa said the forum is working hard and using all of the human resources at its disposal. He informed the SGF, "We want to have a commission to relocate North Central zone.

Akume is a seasoned administrator and politician who merit the position he has in the current administration, according to General Useni. "I am pretty familiar with him. This government is performing extremely well because of his well-deserved appointment, according to the former Federal Capital Territory minister.

The NCDF, which consists of six states plus the FCT, was referred to as the highest forum of the people of the North Central zone by Chief Jacob Tilley-Gyado. "I joined this forum because of its important goals. The former senator declared, "We are the center of gravity, and we must encourage our own to succeed in office.
